He is a seasoned expert in energy economics and macroeconomic policy analysis. He holds an MSc in Energy Studies with Specialization in Energy Economics (CEPMLP) from the University of Dundee, Scotland, UK, and a BSc in Economics & Accounting from the African Methodist Episcopal University, Liberia, graduating Magna cum Laude.
John has held key roles such as Chief of Office Staff and Energy Economist at the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL) and Senior Research Fellow at the Liberia Macroeconomic Policy Analysis Center (LIMPAC). He has also lectured at the African Methodist Episcopal University where he taught Maths for Economists I & II; Econometrics (Introduction and Analysis) and Statistics for Business and Economics.
His skills include data analysis, economic theory, and strategic planning.
His leadership extends as a spiritual leader and pastor. As an athlete and administrator, he also led the Liberia Karate-Do Federation as President for 7 years.
John’s contributions to Liberia’s energy sector and policy development highlight his commitment to excellence and innovation.
He is a valuable asset, combining analytical acumen, leadership, and dedication to achieve results.
He holds a Master of Arts Degree in Economic Policy & Planning (EPP) from the Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. He has accumulated a wealth of experience in Applied |Research and Public Policy over the years working in the Public & Private Sectors
He is a 2009 Graduate of the Department of Economics (Magna Cum Laude), University of Liberia. He also
holds a Master of Development Policy from the Korea Development Institute School of Public Policy and
Management. He has had a few professional capacity-buildings, notably: Government Finance Statistics at
the IMF Institute, Washington DC, “ Result-Focused Strategic Planning for National Development: Coach
Trainers Workshop”, World Bank Institute and the Ministry of Planning and Economic Affairs, Republic of
Liberia, Financial Programming and Policy (FPP), IMF Institute, Washington DC, West African Institute for
Financial and Economic Management (WAIFEM).
He has authored Depicting the Trend of Rape in Liberia and previously co-authored: Is Aquaculture Pro-poor? Evidence of Aquaculture Potentials Towards Economic
growth and development in Liberia.
He holds a BSc in Economics from the AME Zion University and other professional certificates (Project Management, financial management, Public financial management, & Data Visualization) He is also a candidate for a Master’s in Financial Management at the Starz Graduate School
